WasteConnect 4+

The workers are hardworking , courtesy and how they manage cars parked on the street is a nothing less than amazing. Had a bulk pick up month ago. Excellent. Gone in a flash. I’m grateful for all they do. As a young adult my boss at the time groomed his younger staff ( abt 21 young green kids just fresh out of college to respect everyone who worked where I did ( local county government job). He introduced us to high officials, as well he introduced us to many department leaders and their staff…. and to janitors and security workers. Then he told a story abt how important it was to have clean offices ect. He used example of if you were at a hospital and your operating room was dirty what would you think. How important every individual makes a difference within there workforce….Well I’ve never forgotten that sermon abt taking time to appreciate all workers . My boss had high expectations of his staff and that lesson was only the beginning of what he taught us green kids, many of us stay to retirement.
Thanks for all you folks do my make my neighborhood look great and thanks for being responsible and respectful of property.

We started when the company was Queen City Disposal in Clarksville. The company merged with Waste Connections but it’s still local to us. I will forever remember the day I left some expensive rechargeable batteries in a bag to be charged, and my wife thought they were trash. She put them in the dumpster and rolled it out to the curb. Fortunately she told me about it and I called Queen City , told them if the problem, and asked if they could skip the pickup. The man on duty drove out to my house and rolled the cart back up the driveway. The batteries were safe when I returned home. At that point they had a customer for life.

First of all, this app has so few features:

1) a calendar that’s supposed to show you pickup days and times on your street;

2) something called “Wizard” that’s supposed to advise you on proper disposal of unusual items like mattresses and TVs;

and 3) the “More” button, which basically just allows you to change languages and report a problem.

When I typed in my address to see whether the collection schedule had changed for Thanksgiving weekend, I got an error message telling me that my address couldn’t be found, despite the fact that I’ve been a Waste Connections customer for roughly 3-5 years now. It offered me the option to report a problem, so I did, sending a message telling the company what was wrong and that I needed to know whether my garbage would be collected on Black Friday just like any other Friday. I never heard back from anyone. I had to log in to the Waste Connections site in my browser to find the info I needed.

It’s now Christmas weekend. Typing in my address still brings up an error message. I still haven’t heard back from Waste Connections or the app developer regarding the previous error message. This is a case of shoddy design and even shoddier customer service, which is worse. If you want to keep my business, at least show me the respect of a reply.
